Coffee!

Most of my readers from Poland will know that I am a big fan of CoffeeHeaven, a Polish coffeehouse chain which has become very popular across Eastern Europe in the last few years (more on this most probably in a future post once I'll be back in Poland).

If you think of India as a tea loving nation, you are only partially right, as here again - like in so many other aspects - one can witness a very strong north/south divide: Northern India is clearly tea while Southern India is more coffee drinking. Having spent some time in Bangalore, I've learned to cherish the Indian coffee places and my Indian equivalent to CoffeeHeaven is called Barista and similarly to CoffeeHeaven in Poland a favourite hang-out location of mine. India's largest coffee retailer, however, is Cafe Coffee Day (which has in the last few years also started to expand into Europe - I actually have been to a CCD outlet in Vienna), but my personal preference remains Barista as I find the coffee much better there.

The last two days I've been out with the Hs who are currently visiting Mumbai and we've naturally (how could it be any different?) stopped by for a quick coffee where Mr H has taken this picture.

Apart from that we've been in and around the city quite a lot today, so am eager to 'interview' my visitors from abroad about their impressions of the city and hope to be able to share some of their observations in my next post tomorrow.

Have a good remaining weekend ... wishes
Memonji
