A Night Out - Part I

We turned left, a little bit off the beaten track away from the park towards the river. After she climbed over the fence I realised that her shadow got caught in between the posts while she had already run ahead - not noticing and busy with tackling her hair that got entangled in the breeze.

Mirroring the stars above the few lights alongside the path were reflecting in her eyes which had turned deep blue under the clear night's sky. Her shadow had eventually caught up with her when she stopped, looked at me, said "you know, - that made me quite sad ... " and continued to walk ahead. I stretched out my arm trying to hold her back, but she had already disappeared in the dark - leaving me in the uncertainty of my thoughts with the scent of her perfume still lingering in the air...
